This is one of the best known signs from Berlin during the Cold War. It was placed by the legendary Checkpoint Charlie. "You are leaving the American sector" is shown in English, Russian ("Вы Выезжаете Из Американского Сектора"), French ("Vous sortez du secteur américain") and German ("Sie Verlassen den Amerikanischen Sektor"). It is worth noticing that the text in German appears at the end and much smaller. At the bottom you find also the issuer: "US Army".
