Length: 419 mi. Direction: west-east. South Dakota Highway 34 (SD-34) is a highway running parallel to I-90 across the state of South Dakota from border to border. It begins near Belle Fourche at the Wyoming state line, and ends close to Egan at the Minnesota state line. The road stretches across the counties of Butte, Lawrence, Meade, Ziebach, Haakon, Stanley, Hughes, Hyde, Buffalo, Jerauld, Sanborn, Miner, Lake, and Moody. It was inaugurated in 1926.
