Length: 370.87 mi. Direction: west-east. New York State Route 5 (NY 5) is a highway in the state of New York that begins in Ripley at the Pennsylvania state line, and ends in Albany. The road stretches across the counties of Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Ontario, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Madison, Oneida, Herkimer, Montgomery, Schenectady, and Albany. It was inaugurated in 1924.
