For the majority of its length, Market Street serves as Pennsylvania Route 3. Its most famous landmark is Independence National Historic Park, home to the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and National Constitution Center, in a complex serving as the heart of the Old City neighborhood. Philadelphia City Hall sits atop Market Street's intersection with Broad Street. Here is also One Liberty Place, the city’s tallest building. It was in Market Street that the English bible was first published in America. Here started also Benjamin Franklin the first monthly magazine in the US. It was originally known as High Street.
