Length: 149 mi. Direction: northeast–southwest. Minnesota State Highway 61 (MN 61) is a highway in the northeast part of Minnesota, that begins in Duluth, and ends near Grand Portage. The road stretches across the counties of Saint Louis, Lake, and Cook. The road belongs to the tourist routes Lake Superior Circle Tour and North Shore Scenic Drive. It was inaugurated in 1991.
