Length: 290 mi. Direction: west-east. Michigan M-28 is a state trunkline highway in the northern part of Michigan, that begins in Wakefield, and ends near Sault Ste. Marie. The road passes through the counties of Gogebic, Ontonagon, Houghton, Baraga, Marquette, Alger, Schoolcraft, Luce, and Chippewa. Some parts of the road belong to the Lake Superior Circle Tour. It was opened in 1919.
