“Cervantes Street”. This street lies in the nowadays known as Barrio de las Letras (Arts District). Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547-1616) is the most eminent and widely-known author in Spanish literature. He is universally known for his book Don Quixote, described by many critics as the fist novel of modern time and one of the most accomplished in world literature. The writer’s grave lies in a church located in the nearby calle de Lope de Vega.
