Length: 170 mi. Direction: south-north. Illinois Route 47 (IL-47) is a rural highway that begins in Seymour, and terminates in Hebron at the Wisconsin state border. The highway passes through the counties of Champaign, Ford, Livingston, Grundy, Kendall, Kane, and McHenry. It was opened in 1924.
