Length: 175 mi. Direction: west-east. Illinois Route 16 (IL-16) is a major highway in central Illinois that begins in Hardin, and ends in Paris. The highway crosses the counties of Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Montgomery, Christian, Shelby, Moultrie, Coles, and Edgar. It was opened in 1918.
