Length: 218 mi. Direction: west-east. Illinois Route 9 (IL-9) is a highway in central Illinois that begins in Niota, and terminates in Hoopeston. The highway stretches across the counties of Vermilion, Ford, McLean, Tazewell, Peoria, Fulton, McDonough, and Hancock. It was inaugurated in 1918.
