Length: 295 mi. Direction: west-east. Iowa Highway 9 in northern Iowa begins in Larchwood, and ends in Lansing, crossing the entire length of the state. The road passes through the counties of Lyon, Osceola, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth, Winnebago, Worth, Mitchell, Howard, Winneshiek, and Allamakee. It was inaugurated in 1920.
