Street name

“Pantheon Square”. This square located in the 5th arrondissement (district), in the area of Sorbonne, takes its name from the magnificent building situated in the middle of it, the Panthéon (which in Latin means "All the Gods"), originally built as a church dedicated to St. Genevieve, but used now as a burial place for eminent French men and women. The Panthéon is the resting place of, among others, Voltaire, Marat, Rousseau, Victor Hugo, Émile Zola, Andre Malraux and Alexandre Dumas, the old.
