Interstate 77 (I-77) is a highway in the eastern United States that runs for more than 600 miles. The stretch in the state of South Carolina has a length of 91.2 miles and runs between Cayce and the Carowinds theme park at the border with North Carolina. The freeway, opened in 1975, crosses the counties of Lexington, Richland, Fairfield, Chester, and York. It is officially known as the Blue Star Memorial Highway.
