Interstate 83 (I-83) is a highway in eastern United States located in the states of Maryland and Pennsylvania. The stretch in the state of Pennsylvania has a length of 50.8 miles and crosses the counties of York, Cumberland, and Dauphin. The highway, opened in 1959, begins near York, and ends in Harrisburg. It is also known as Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Memorial Highway.
