Interstate 81 (I-81) is a highway in the eastern United States that runs for 855 miles from Tennessee to New York. The stretch in the state of New York runs for 183.60 miles from near Binghamton at the Pennsylvania state line to Wellesley Island at the Canadian border. The highway, opened in 1957, crosses the counties of Broome, Cortland, Onondaga, Oswego, and Jefferson.
