Interstate 95 (I-95) is the main highway running for almost 2000 miles across the east coast of the United States. The 97.76 miles long stretch in the state of New Jersey is divided into the Trenton segment and the Main segment that begins with the New Jersey Turnpike and ends with the George Washington Bridge approach. The route passes through the counties of Burlington, Mercer, Middlesex, Union, Essex, Hudson, and Bergen. It was opened in 1959.
