Hot Coffee is a cool little place in Mississippi, where a dude figured out being halfway between Natchez and Mobile, Alabama made it the perfect place for wagon drivers to pause for their favorite brew seeing as he owned the local inn. By 1880, the local storekeeper had pinched the business, set up shop and was advertising “the best coffee around”. What a pity there were no polystyrene insulated cups to keep it warm past the first bend in the trail.
