Boys can wed boys (and girls can marry girls) in Nashville, Tennessee since June 25, 2015, although we are not saying the churches all agreed. It would be premature to think they joined Church Street up to Gay Street with a view to a pride pageant.
The story goes back a few years. The two streets run parallel with a park in between them that goes all the way down to the Cumberland River. Some time ago, the city government linked them up with a connector road along the water’s edge to ease traffic at peak times. So far, so good: When’s the wedding, doll?
