We’re unprepared to even entertain the thought that beavers might be slang for something we don’t want to mention. We think it’s more likely that a furry creature escaped from Beaver Island in Lake Michigan, and climbed up this sign post in Detroit in search of somewhere quiet to catch up on its sleep.
The sign may have originally said ‘Big Beaver Record Size’ (until some letters fell off) just in case you thought you could climb up and stroke its fur and so on. You are free to make your own suggestion as long as it is beaver-friendly. Maybe you can help explain why the beaver fancied the number 69 and cuddled up beneath it.
