Prospectors were burrowing away for gold in Pike’s Peak when they found locals were getting better claims. They shipped out and built a town called Fair Play. This was in case anybody from Pike’s Peak planned to ask a favor.

Not much happens in Fair Play since the gold ran out. A possible exception is the 29-mile burro race that happens every July and features a world championship preceded by a llama race. We suspect the courier van is shipping beers or burro’s in, although a llama might provide an opportunity to stake a claim.
