Morón de la Frontera is a Spanish town in the province of Seville, hometown of passionate Carmen. It might possibly be called after the ancient word morr that means a rocky hill, but the name could also be a historic allusion we think we will skirt around because it’s not exactly more-ish. Morón is not what we would define as a tourist hotspot or a cesspit of Bizetesque intrigue either. In fact, the most exciting things they do are grow cereal crops, export olive oil, and preserve vegetables that may not go well with steaks. The local people call themselves Moroneros or Moronenses. We suppose anything is better than the alternative you may be thinking of.
