The motto of the town of Boring (population 8,000 on the button) is “The Most Exciting Place to Live”, despite the fact it was named for William H. Boring who must have many Boring descendants. Boring paired itself with a village called Dull in Scotland and a mining town called Bland in Australia (perhaps there’s not much else to do at either end). The pairing exercise hopes to encourage tourists to visit towns that are Boring, Bland and Dull. You can go to one two if you turn right here at the sign.
